Nottingham-based duo ALT BLK ERA announce their new EP Our World, out 22 May via LAB Records. Alongside the announcement, they unveil their alt-pop single and video, ‘Tissues’.
Sisters Nyrobi and Chaya Beckett-Messam step into bolder territory with ‘Tissues’, blending EDM and hyperpop with heartfelt songwriting. Nyrobi explains:
“After opening up about my hidden disability in songs like ‘Straight To Heart’ & ‘Come On Outside’ it feels like there’s no topic we should be scared of singing about.
With all that’s going on in the world, it was good to talk about feeling overwhelmed with emotions – over a hyper/pop rock beat. The juxtaposition of it almost feels therapeutic.”
