Seattle-based indie rock band instant crush announce the deluxe edition of their debut album I’M SORRY I DIDN’T BITE MY TONGUE, out 13 March. Alongside the news, the band share the deluxe edition’s lead single, ‘GRUDGE’.
‘GRUDGE’ takes the spotlight as our new LOUD WOMEN #earwormoftheweek, impossible to ignore with its addictive pulse and sharp lyrics. Megan Cannon shares the following:
“‘Grudge’ is a song I wrote about my frustration in the music industry. I feel like throughout my life I’ve done a lot of things out of spite (for better or for worse) and there is nothing I enjoy more than proving people wrong. At the very start of this band it seemed like people thought I was only capable of doing one thing or sounding one way, and those words really stuck with me for a long time and I felt a bitterness in my soul that would eat away at me. I thought I was genuinely an awful person for never letting anything go and holding resentment in my heart, but it was that trait that I think made me work harder. I wanted to make something gritty, different, and unlike something that would be expected from instant crush.”
