West Midlands-based Blush Puppy tease their upcoming album with the release of ‘UNDER THE WATER’, an intoxicating tale in retro 00’s emo-grunge styling. Surrounding the dirty design, the clean mixing of Adrian Bushby and the iconic three-part harmonies bring the band to a whole other level of notoriety.
“‘Under The Water’ represents the feeling of drowning, but also the euphoria that giving in and letting go can bring. Letting go of the monsters we create in our own heads, by admitting they’re there. Sometimes we can hide things from others out of fear of them becoming real, but by inviting others into your head and sharing these feelings, you can begin to battle them together. Finally admit you’re drowning, and accept help.”
Being the only song on their upcoming album Here You Dream to be written (in a freezing cold shed) through collaboration of the whole band, it is a credit to the ‘submerged, dream-like space’ the EP occupies.
Releasing 27 March 2026, if ‘UNDER THE WATER’ is anything to go by, then EP Here You Dream is the breathing space we all need.
