Sky Valley Mistress

UK rock duo Sky Valley Mistress are counting down to second album Luna Mausoleum (out 23 January 2026 via New Heavy Sounds) with ‘Too Many Ghosts’, a song built for motion: big riffs, long roads, and that specific feeling of freedom you only get when the engine’s humming and your problems are somewhere behind you. It’s desert rock swagger with a gothic glow, all cruising momentum and smoky confidence. A song which, according to the band,

“is meant for the open highway. Somewhere you have the freedom to put your foot down and still feel like you’re cruising”.

The new video stars the band alongside their now-legendary touring hearse, Thundertaker, and comes with a backstory worthy of the name: drug dealers, broken generators, torrential rain, a dead battery on the moors and what the band now call “the curse of the hearse”. As Max puts it, being stranded alone in a powerless hearse at night was “fucking COLD” – rock’n’roll remains undefeated.

Fronted by Kayley “Hell Kitten” Davies’ soul-scorched vocals, ‘Too Many Ghosts’ points straight at the scale and ambition of Luna Mausoleum: heavy without being dull, dramatic without losing groove, and entirely unapologetic about going bigger than feels sensible. Greater and beyond all reason, indeed.
