Manchester’s Brain Leak release their debut EP, Put Back Together.
Brain Leak is an emerging nu-riot grrrl supergroup led by singer-songwriter Tara-Gabriella Engelhardt, featuring Giulia Bonometti (Working Men’s Club), Jess Branney (Peaness), Sidonie Hand-Halford (Orielles), and Ellie-Rose Elliot (Blanketman).
Put Back Together was written during the chaos of early sobriety, described by Engelhardt as “completely dismantling, but also the first time I learned how to rebuild myself with intention.”
Each track is a distinct fragment, recorded with different producers in different studios. ‘Save Me’ was produced by Henry Wade (Orielles) at Islington Mill and mixed by Russell of the electro-post-punk project Material Goods. The EP’s closing title track was produced by Brian Christinzio (BC Camplight), who enlisted string players Evelyn Hall and Rachel Nicholas, whose haunting arrangements weave through the EP’s fractures.
“It’s a Frankenstein production in the best way. This year I wanted to explore my sound, see how other people work, and figure out what I want for the next body of work.”

Put Back Together is the broken mirror reflecting the turbulence and uncertainty of 2025, making it the perfect #EPofthemonth to close out the year and offer a bold glimpse into the future.
