Four-piece Dublin-born band The Amniotics return with ‘Recovering Catholic’, the first single from their forthcoming EP, No Man Cool, due early 2026.
Formed in 2021, The Amniotics is composed of Rebecca Walsh, Katie Kelly, Loeka Ram and Cat Turchi who find inspiration from classic rock, prog, punk, and synthpop.
Written by Cat, ‘Recovering Catholic’ is a punk poem brought to life through distorted electric guitars and a modular synth under the guidance of producer and audio engineer Anca Ioana Scheul.
“I was raised Catholic. Private life and global events led me to not be so any longer. The more I questioned what I used to believe in, the more I opened my eyes. The more I looked around, the more hypocrisy and bourgeois respectability I saw. The more of that I saw, the angrier I grew.”
