Brooklyn-based band partygirl are a mind-bending, genre-smashing eruption of energy, eclecticism and intensity. Back to tease more of their long-form project I’m so charming, I forgot who I was, they release their new single ‘Tony Soprano’. This is for fans of Mannequin Pussy and Led Zepplin that are ready to hear something completely fresh.

‘Tony Soprano’ wastes no time in hooking you in with a killer guitar riff. Throw in a mix of thrashing and rumbling drums, plus bursts of theatrical organ, and you’ve got the perfect maximalist sound we love from this band. Rarely following ‘typical’ song structures, partygirl’s latest single twists and bends, evolving and flowing to wherever they wish to take it. Bandleader Pagona Kytzidis‘ searing vocals bring a genuine emotional charge that is hard to find in such capacity, as the story unfolds of a woman finding strength in her sexuality.

Get ready for a partygirl powerhouse song that will stop you in your tracks and consume you completely; I was left a little speechless after the first listen.
