Taking inspiration from 80’s Nigerian soul boogie, ‘Normalize’ hears rippling beats and warping synth bass sounds rumble below Gelli Haha’s soaring vocals. The track is dripping with funky grooves and interesting textures. Pair the song with the ever-wild artistic visualisation that Gelli Haha has become known for, and you really have entered into her bizarrely brilliant universe.
The music videos for the singles, all directed by David Gutel, serve as a series, following on from each other as Gelli Haha becomes a parachute monster. Theatrical, innovative and completely wacky; the visuals match the music perfectly.
