Copenhagen-based avant-pop artist Vamilla shares her magical debut album You Are Freed.
Vamilla is the solo project of Mille Justinussen, a composer, vocalist, and former winner of Danish X Factor turned rising DIY indie star.
Merging fantasy with real life topics such as relationships, climate change, and materialism, Vamilla’s debut is an unfiltered look into her mind.
“If there’s one thing people are always fascinated by, it’s what it feels like to be someone else. I think my music gives a pretty solid sense of what it feels like to be me. There’s no agenda. It’s 100% weird and real.”

“I wrote a song about wanting to move to New York. Then I moved to New York. I wrote a song about being in a kinky relationship with an older man. Then I got into one. I wrote a song about war and climate collapse… and, well.”
