MZZTR, the NYC-based heavy metal/prog/alt band, has unleashed KIMBERLY, the debut track from their upcoming EP, and it’s an absolute force of nature. With chaotic riffs, grotesque visuals, and a scathing feminist message, the band is here to melt faces and tear down the beauty standards they’re sick of seeing. Think Alice Cooper meets GWAR with a dose of kink, camp, and full-throttle transgression.

The track is a hard-hitting critique of a culture obsessed with plastic surgery, influence, and the idea of femininity as a performance. Fronted by MZZTR Man, who also directed the video, the song channels the contradictions of today’s beauty-obsessed world through the character of Thongria (played by Zoe Ligon), an influencer turned anti-heroine. The video is a surreal mix of body horror, beauty tutorials, and sheer rage, with makeup effects by Jeremy Selenfriend (COMPANION, SMILE 2).

KIMBERLY is the first taste of their debut EP, which drops in September(ish) 2025. If this track is anything to go by, we’re in for something wild.
