A one-woman whirlwind of sound, spirit, and unapologetic originality – Ch’Lu is what happens when a polyglot, classically trained guitarist meets a ninja-pole warrior-poet with a looping pedal and a mission to raise the world’s consciousness.

Of British-Romanian heritage, Ch’Lu (formerly Camilla Mathias) fuses classical guitar arpeggios, binaural beats, field recordings, and multilingual lyrics into lush, transformative soundscapes. Her self-produced art-pop album The Goddess Within, funded by Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK, blends Sanskrit vocals and sound healing with ambient electronica – and landed her a guest curator spot with BBC6 Music’s Tom Robinson.

With gigs in 23 countries, roles in TV, voiceovers and film, and viral comedy music videos (“I’m Not the Type to Sit and Swipe”), Ch’Lu is as much activist as artist – using her voice to speak out on loss, love, and everything in between.

Now she brings her genre-defying magic to the LOUD WOMEN stage on 14 June at Hope & Anchor, London, and we couldn’t be more ready.

Expect transcendence. Expect transformation. Expect to leave different than you arrived.
