Sydney punks smallways. have just unleashed their debut EP Mind Your Head, and it’s a mighty, messy, marvellous racket. Across four raw, hook-laden tracks, this bass and drum duo tear into the tangled web of societal pressures, mental health, and self-reflection, with a sound that fuses jagged punk energy and bone-rattling rhythm. Think: IDLES meets Amyl & the Sniffers, but with even more glorious weirdness and basslines that punch you in the chest.

Highlights? ‘Leeches’ is a brilliantly eerie earworm that’ll crawl under your skin and stay there.

‘Cool Down’ wraps sharp social commentary in stomping beats and dark humour.

‘Nerve Remorse’ hits that sweet spot between vulnerable and venomous.

‘Split’ is pure cathartic chaos, closing the EP with a laugh – literally.

We are ridiculously excited to be co-hosting the EP launch party on 31 May in Sydney (yes, LOUD WOMEN down under!) and we have a sneaky feeling this might just be the start of even more LOUD WOMEN magic happening in Australia later this year… watch this space.

‘Mind Your Head’ is out now. Turn it up, lose your mind (your head), and get yourself to that launch if you can.
