Philadelphia punks ShyGodwin just declared war on the American dream. Their new single american circus opens with the US national anthem, a solemn dirge that quickly curdles into chaos — the pledge of allegiance spat through gritted teeth before the whole thing combusts in a feral, full-throttle punk assault. And they’re bringing it live to LOUD WOMEN Fest NYC on May 10 at 3 Dollar Bill.

This is not protest music as artful metaphor. This is teeth-bared, sweat-soaked, absolutely no-fucking-around rage. The vocals are molten — screaming, snarling, and burning through the wreckage with righteous fury, while the drums thrash like the house is already on fire. The message is simple: we’re out of time. This is the soundtrack to pushing back.
