Oakland’s Pillowprince have dropped a new single, and it’s the kind that sticks in your throat. ‘Care About’ isn’t here to hold your hand—it’s a demand for empathy, a gut-punch wrapped in shoegaze haze and queercore fury. Written in the aftermath of the Club Q shootings, the track pulses with grief, anger, and an exhaustion that feels all too familiar.

Frontwoman Olivia Lee doesn’t just ask the question—

“When are you gonna care about everyone that should be here now?”

—she repeats it until it drills into your skull. The track builds, swells, and crashes in waves of doom-laced distortion, the band balancing heartbreak with something that sounds a lot like defiance. Care About doesn’t just mourn; it fights.

With their debut EP pretty, baby! landing April 25th, and a tour to back it up, Pillowprince are carving out a space that’s loud, raw, and impossible to ignore. Get this in your ears, and then go scream along with them live. Preorder here.
