Chicago-based artist Pictoria Vark (Victoria Park) shares sophomore album Nothing Sticks, out now on Get Better Records.
While touring her debut album The Parts I Dread in 2022, Park felt split between two worlds: the chaotic life on the road versus post graduate limbo. The result of navigating the push and pull is Nothing Sticks. Each moment is fleeting in life and Park captures the chaos of the unknown.
“I was 23 and thrust into an abnormal, chaotic, and very public way of living immediately after graduating college with an underdeveloped support network. Focusing so heavily on playing live shows–these things with very explicit end dates–made me question if I was right to center my life around something so fleeting, until I realized everything is fleeting.”
Victoria Park
Just like The Parts I Dread, Nothing Sticks was written on bass guitar first. However on tracks ‘San Diego’ and ‘Other Things’ Park feature guitar played by Park for the first time on her music. Also for the first time, Park recorded in a studio. While exploring new ways to create music, Park created a bolder album with clever lyrics and soaring strings.
“This album is a reflection on the way all things end through the lens of being a musician.”

Latest single ‘Lucky Superstar’ is the standout track from Nothing Sticks. ‘Lucky Superstar’ exposes the troubling side to being in the spotlight where fandom turns dark with inappropriate behaviour.
On Nothing Sticks, each track flows into an emotional montage of Victoria Park’s life as a musician. Nothing Sticks an album that stays with you.
Upcoming live shows:
30/3 – Brooklyn, NY Baby’s All Right with Gemma Laurence + Carol
13/4 – Chicago, IL Empty Bottle with Cusp + Prathloons
