Rock trio Our Girl shares ‘The Good Kind’, the dreamy title track from their upcoming album The Good Kind, due out 8 November via Bella Union.
‘The Good Kind’ was created with Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa input and inspired by how memories can be triggered from the first note of a song.
Singer/guitarist Soph Nathan shares the following about ‘The Good Kind’:
“I have particularly vivid memories; acid images that seem forgotten but are suddenly triggered by a smell or taste or sound – the Proust effect! Normally it’s caused by something that’s harder to grasp, but I wrote this song about a time Ella Fitzgerald came on the radio and it took me back to how I was feeling the first time I heard it.”
