‘The Ride’ is Luna Marble’s call to live through the mess that is life, and what a head-banger on top of that!
The band formed in 2020 in Manchester, and ‘The Ride’ is the third single from their debut album coming to us in 2025. They took the time to really work together and create their version of classic, bluesy, psychedelic rock. If you’re looking for references: Blues Pills, Stevie Nicks, and even Led Zeppelin.
The band works in a DIY way, and they are slowly creating their unique brand. As Maria said in a Messed Up Mag interview,
“I think, for women nowadays, although we’ve made so much progress, you need to make twice the sound. People are not realizing that in most cases every successful band is DIY. I’m doing all the marketing: all the [outfits], managing the photography, the socials, emailing the promoters, creating a band.”
Luna Marble describes their music as “stadium-ready tunes”, which you can feel throughout ‘The Ride’. The riffs are powerful, the drums and bass add strength to the equation, the vocals are up there with the greatest of the genre, and the lyrics, albeit simple, work very effectively. Let’s get a taste, straight out of Luna’s bottle:
Led by Maria Rico, the band comes to pull out all the stops with their 70’s vibes, and it works. Some say we’re living a revival. All we know is, we can’t wait to hear them live.
