LA-based band The Hellflowers were formed in 2015 by Christina and Matt Eskew. Their music is a perfect mix of pop punk, rockabilly, and new wave. Though they’re no strangers to playing in the UK, this year will be their first time playing at Rebellion festival, on the After Dark stage on the Sunday.

For anyone not familiar with your music, how would you describe your sound?
If Blondie and The Clash had a baby, that’s us!
If you had to recommend one of your songs to a new listener, which one would it be?
Vacation. Just because it’s everyone’s favorite Hellflowers song.
Are there any bands you’re particularly excited to see over the weekend?
Anti- Nowhere League, The Stranglers, Turbo AC’s, Subhumans, The Meffs, and too many to name.
What else are you up to this year?
We just released a brand new full length album on March 15, so after Rebellion I think will be writing more songs for our next release.
