If you're already a regular at DIY/punk shows in the UK, then chances are you're already familiar with our fourth featured band, Fresh. Otherwise, I strongly recommend you take this chance to see them. No strangers to Manchester Punk Festival, this London four-piece never fail to deliver poppy punk tunes, topped off with Kathryn Wood's honest lyrics and vibrant vocals. A Fresh gig is a perfect place to just dance around with other punx, and feel safe and welcome.

If you had to recommend one of your songs to a new listener, which one would it be?

I guess I’d recommend ‘Going to Brighton’ because it’s got everything in it that Fresh represents. There’s the idea of friendship, of being brave, and it’s got a guitar solo.

What can we expect from your set at MPF?

We will be playing our new song!!

Are there any bands you’re particularly excited to see over the weekend?

Definitely Slash Fiction, Cheekface, and Martha

What else are you up to this year – any tours/festivals/releases you want to tell us about?
We have new songs, a US tour, and a headline London show on the 3rd of April. Come thru!!

Thank you so much to Kathryn for answering these questions. Fresh will be playing at The Union on the Friday of MPF, at 17:40.
