New Jersey born / LA-based artist Maddy Davis shares her sophomore EP, Would You Object for a Happier Life?.
Davis is a multitalented songwriter and producer who released her standout debut EP MUD last year.

The final single/video from Would You Object for a Happier Life? is the closing track ‘American Dream’. Davis shares the following about ‘American Dream’:
“I grew up in your classic wasp-y suburb; filled with people who cared much more about their image than their impact. ‘American Dream’ is the first song I ever wrote reflecting on that. When I eventually moved out, I started seeing the flawed reality of society’s obsession with self-image. Families I grew up around loved to hide their dysfunction behind their picture perfect Holiday cards, and I knew I never wanted that for myself. I never want to participate in the invisible popularity contests that come with a small suburban town. I always want to surround myself with real humans, who don’t pretend their porcelain lives are indestructible.”
