Kingston’s The Trudy have sonically shaped a spellbinding dreamland in their latest folk-rock single, ‘Every Story Ever Told.’
Upbeat strumming sets the hopeful tone for ‘Every Story Ever Told’ as the vocalist Melissa Jo Heathcote (formerly of The Pukes) paints a tranquil, vibrant world that sparks a pure sense of wonder. The video amplifies this further as colorful, explosive patterns splash and ripple effects wash over an unknown shoreline. While the beginning describes loneliness with one layer of vocals, the song continually returns to togetherness in the chorus, from vocals to instrumental. This beautiful stacking effect of adding more harmonizing voices throughout and introducing electric guitar, bass, and drums, ultimately, made ‘Every Story Ever Told’ not only catchy but dynamic. A song that culminates into a haven of interconnectedness that we all can share.
‘Every Story Ever Told’ is an amazing musical capture of a dream and a revivifying burst of fresh air. I felt swept away by the story of this otherworld and the comfort of the music felt as if I had laid my heart down to be cradled in a blanket of feathers. This track is an astonishingly freeing and radiant experience that I highly recommend.
