Boston-based rock duo Mediocre released a new single/video, ‘Pop Song Baby’.

‘Pop Song Baby’ is the latest look into Mediocre’s upcoming EP, To Know You’re Screwed, out 7 April 2023 via Dangerbird Records.

Piper Torrison (guitar) and Keely Martin (bass) are anything but ~mediocre~ with their signature blend of garage rock, post punk, and with elements of catchy indie pop. With ‘Pop Song Baby’ Mediocre delivers a catchy bop laced with sarcasm and 90s alt-rock. 

“We wanted to write a song that our teenage selves would blast in our bedrooms. As femme musicians growing up in a predominantly male music scene, we pulled from our frustrations of being underestimated and pigeon-holed into certain archetypes. This song and video explores those pressures.”
