Today’s track of the day is ‘Dcapit8’, lead single from the latest album by LA’s queer pop punkers Solancy.
The melodic but powerful lead vocals coast over an interweaving medley of raging drums, powerful guitars and the occasional guttural scream. With lyrics just begging to be shouted along to (my personal favourite – “You’re appalling, lick my balls!”) and a shrieking guitar solo, Dcapit8 is an anthem for everyone who has suffered from unsolicited dick pics, judgements about their body, deadnaming, and all the other awfulness encompassed by toxic masculinity.
