The band is led by Annie Wilkinson, whose stated aim was to start a 80s-style girl-group. Joined by Tallulah Winkelman on guitar and Terri Upton on bass, the band’s upbeat, electropop-punk songs deal with heartbreak, politics and feminism. I think they sound like The Go-Go’s meets the Breeders, with a drum machine and cute synths.
