Out today from seven-piece Japanese psych-punk band TEKE::TEKE, ‘Meikyu’ is taken from forthcoming debut album Shirushi (out May 7 via Kill Rock Stars), along with a performance at SXSW Online March 16-20.

Translating to “labyrinth,” the track tells the story of an escape from a haunted mansion maze, partly inspired by Japanese art-horror flick Hausu.

The album Shirushi (“sign of big changes to come”) was named after the Japanese practice of kintsugi — the art of mending broken pottery by fusing the pieces back together with seams of gold, silver or platinum lacquer.

We need to hear this asap …
