“Glad to be finally getting this out! It took years to write…I had the verses with different lyrics for ages and a different chorus which I was never happy with. Then one day I was going through old lyrics on my phone and the chorus lyric jumped out at me – and went straight into the song. So I then had to re-write the verse lyrics around the new chorus. Anyway, it’s basically about mild depression and not giving up on life. And recording and mixing took ages and then covid came along to delay the release. But hopefully it doesn’t sound like it took years of toiling – hopefully it sounds like an easy-breezy 3 minute pop song…”
