Today’s track of the day is some angry grunge goodness from Chicago’s Djunah: ‘Animal Kingdom’.

Djunah (JUNE-uh) are a duo, fronted by Donna Diane who pulls triple duty in noise-rock power duo, simultaneously playing guitar, singing, and pulverizing on a massive-sounding Moog bass organ with her feet. Arguments about whether or not she’s taking some other girl’s job away aside, it’s an impressive feat/feet. Looksee here.

Drummer Nick Smalkowski is also a drum maker who handmade the stave kit he uses. These two are proper fancy. They release their debut album Ex Voto on 1 November with Triple Eye Industries, which they recorded with Converge’s Kurt Ballou, who’s also proper fancy.
