Nashville artist Samantha Harlow returns with ‘I Gotta Go’, another glimpse into the world of Veronica LaMorte, a lounge singer murdered and resurrected by her mad scientist husband, from her By A Thread series.
Blending ’60s girl-group pop, surf rock, camp horror and dark comedy, the eight-part short film series explores themes of fear, identity, vulnerability and self-acceptance. Harlow explains:
“I wanted to stretch out beyond Nashville country, and felt more drawn to the sounds of ’60s girl groups, beach pop and surf sounds.”
Blending a retro-inspired soundscape with a modern edge, ‘I Gotta Go’ delivers a creepy yet catchy soundtrack for Summerween.
