New York City–based indie folk-rock songwriter Kim McClay releases her latest EP, Worth It – LOUD WOMEN’s EP of the month.
A nostalgic rollercoaster fueled by 90s alt-rock angst, messy rock textures, feminine rage, and heartbreak, Worth It explores human connection and the complicated terrain of the female experience.
“I wanted to pose questions about value, What are we worth to each other? What do we owe our neighbors? Our family? Our friends? I wanted to touch on the importance of vulnerability- how valuable it is to turn into what’s uncomfortable and face it head-on.”

Worth It is a constant reminder of your power and not to lose yourself in the pressure of expectation, standards of beauty, and the weight of what you are told you should be.
“My soul is heavy these days…but I’ll continue to keep my heart wide-open…because the alternative, to me, means to be less than human. I hope this collection of songs inspires productive conversations that nurture real change, even if it’s just in the form of an exchange of names at our live shows. I want us to look each other in the eyes and really see one another.”
