London’s Dogviolet return with new single ‘Daisy Crowns’, and we’re very pleased to be premiering it today.
If you’ve been following them – or caught them opening for the likes of GENN and L.A. Witch – you’ll recognise the atmosphere straight away. ‘Daisy Crowns’ leans into that hazy, gothic-tinged sound they do so well.
The backstory hits hard. As vocalist Naz explains,
“‘Daisy Crowns’ is about feeling burnt out and wanting to return to simpler times…The chorus is me asking for help from those close to me, which is something I struggle with.”
Produced by guitarist Ella Patenall, it’s also their most delicate recording so far, layering space and texture without tipping over into excess.
Dogviolet launch the single with a free headline show at The Elephant’s Head in Camden on 15 April.
