Natalie Wildgoose

Yorkshire lo-fi folk artist Natalie Wildgoose just dropped new single ‘Nobody On The Path’.

Her music seeks to slow down the frantic pace of modern life, and it is entirely evident in this sparkling new single. ‘Nobody On The Path’ is a peaceful folk song composed of guitar, voice, piano, banjo and violin, all working together in harmony. The song talks about walking on a path alone and observing what you see; the birds, the sky, the solitude.

Wildgoose comments on the track:

“The moors record what happens on them. I think the body does the same. As a child I would walk aimlessly and often daydreamed alone, I still do. Returning to Yorkshire a few years ago to start this project, I wanted to capture those thoughts and feelings you get on solitary walks in the dales, finding quiet in the hills. This song took shape during a very real, and at points unpredictable, hormone cycle, sometimes that’s just how it happens. Sometimes the path wanders, and you will wander with it.”

Wildgoose lives between London and North Yorkshire, and the homey, country vibe is really prevalent in all of her music. ‘Nobody On The Path’ is no different. The song feels like a peaceful walk in the woods, or a lazy Sunday morning in the garden. It really does calm you down and take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

‘Nobody On The Path’ will be part of her upcoming EP Rural House out on April 15th. We can look forward to more folk ensembles, poetic lyrics and tranquil energy. Perfect for the beginning of spring.
