Manchester quartet cruush share fuzzy new single and video, ‘Rupert Giles’.

cruush is made up of Amber Warren (lead vocals/guitar), Arthur Boyd (guitar), Fotis Kalantzis (drums), and Bruno Evans (bass), blending indie-rock and grunge-pop fueled by nostalgia and emotional grit.

‘Rupert Giles’ is a contemplative track where waves of emotion flow through vulnerable lyrics and shimmering guitars. Like its Buffyverse namesake, the song is complex, thoughtful, and simmers with quiet intensity.

“On a writing retreat to Wales we took a sunrise hike up Penygader. We listened to nothing but Neil Young, Brownhorse, and the Van Halen song ‘Panama’. We were sitting by this lake at 6am, with the sun rising, listening to it and all felt well. We knew we had a great song written, we were all sleep deprived and sweaty, the stars were aligning.”
