Austra, the pop project of Canadian vocalist and composer Katie Stelmanis, returns with radiant album Chin Up Buttercup – our LOUD WOMEN album of the month.
Chin Up Buttercup is the result of Austra’s long-term partner dropping a bombshell, leaving her with a shattered heart.

Amid the devastation and heartbreak, Austra rediscovered herself through music. Chin Up Buttercup is packed with dance anthems layered with painfully honest lyrics. Euro-dance-inspired synth melodies become a guiding light for living in the moment, whether good or bad.
