We’re thrilled to premiere the video for ‘Deep Water’, the powerful new single from Edinburgh-based duo PELOWSKA, ahead of it’s release tomorrow. Combining retro synths with brooding trip-hop textures, this is a stormy, slow-burn of a track that swells with vulnerability and strength.

Vocalist/producer Aneshka Pelowska describes the personal near-death experience behind the song:

“Deep Water tells the story of the time I almost drowned in a lake in Croatia whilst on holiday with my family as a teenager. I was swimming across the lake when my body gave up completely, all my strength disappeared. I tried to scream for help but no one could hear me. I started to sink, fully convinced I was going to die. Then, out of nowhere, something surged through me; a force I can only describe as supernatural and I somehow managed to swim to safety.”

Directed by Simon Hay, the video is a cinematic, bold step forward for PELOWSKA – a band rooted in survival, resilience and fiercely DIY spirit.
