Montréal band TOPS shares new single ‘Annihilation’ – the latest from their upcoming album, Bury the Key, out 22 August on Ghostly International.
‘Annihilation’ was written shortly after the deaths of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Sinead O’Connor. With drums as the foundation, ‘Annihilation’ pays homage to those who’ve passed and looking towards the future.
“’Annihilation’ is a song about navigating a world on the edge of collapse. It’s easy to fear the future but in the end nothing is ever finished and you just gotta follow your heart. It’s like a mix of complacency and surrendering.”
