Manchester punks Blagged are bringing their infectious, danceable sound to the LOUD WOMEN stage at this years Rebellion Festival. If you like your punk fast and melodic (think 90’s Fat Wreck bands), then chances are, you’ll love Blagged.

Get to know them below!

Firstly, how did you all meet and when was Blagged formed?

Sara and Danny started writing songs together during lockdown along with our old bass player Ste. Graham and Danny have been friends since they were teens and played in a band together years ago. We knew Scott from his old band Disaster Forecast, he was involved in booking our second ever gig and has been a close friend of the band since, so when a spot opened up he was the obvious choice!

For anyone not familiar with your music, how would you describe your sound?

Fun melodic punk rock with an occasional hardcore edge.

If you had to recommend one of your songs to a new listener, which one would you choose?

‘Make A Move’, but the new songs we’ve been writing are on another level.

What can we expect from your set at Rebellion?

Positivity, inclusivity and honest music by the four people who are happiest to be there!

Are there any other bands on the line-up you’re particularly looking forward to seeing?

In Evil Hour, Maid Of Ace, Jawless, Clobber, Bruise Control, No Fun At All, Millencolin, Svetlanas

What else are you up to this year – any tours/festivals/releases you want to tell us about?

Our main focus is finishing off our debut full length, which is coming along nicely! We have some cool gigs and small festivals, keep up to date at blagged.uk

And finally, is there anything else you’d like to add?
Free Palestine. Destroy the capitalist patriarchy. Hug your mates.

Thank you so much to Blagged for answering these questions!
