If you haven’t heard Gelli Haha‘s music before, well, yeah – because believe it or not, this fantastically fun single ‘Bounce House’ is her debut (but if you’re a fan of Chappell Roan keep reading). Gearing up for the release of her album Switcheroo this summer, Gelli Haha is setting off a big confetti cannon with this upbeat, pop party track.
With its wacky analog effects, hypnotic melodies and wonderfully silly lyrics, ‘Bounce House’ is somewhere in between a child’s dream and a really good acid trip. The music video from David Gutel is a perfect visual representation of the music, taking place in a primary-coloured indoor playground with kaleidoscopic moving pictures, candid chaos and non-stop silliness.
Working with producer Sean Guerin (of De Lux), Gelli Haha creates an infectious, retro-inspired disco-pop universe of sound, with a child-like innocence that is sure to make you smile like a kid in a candy shop. Her album Switcheroo will be out on 27th June via Innovative Leisure.
