‘Want Me Back’ is another look into Trousdale’s sophomore album, Growing Pains, out 11 April via Independent Co.
‘Want Me Back’ is where pop meets country with a dash of yearning. ‘Want Me Back’ is the relatable feeling of hoping an ex will come back. Even if it’s not true, the daydream is a temporary fix for the pain.
“I went into our recording session thinking the song would end up straight country, and Quinn and Georgia thought it would be straight pop. Our bassist worked some doo-wop into the mix, and we found something really special to lean into.”
