Seattle-based married duo Chinese American Bear (Anne Tong and Bryce Barsten) returns with yummy new single/vdeo ‘Dim Sum (点心)’. This latest release jumpstarts Year of the Snake with Chinese American Bear’s signature quirky recipe of celebrating food, tradition, and being authentically you.
“Dim Sum is a popular Chinese brunch that’s comprised of a variety of small dishes – different kinds of buns, dumplings, baos, noodles, meats, etc. Growing up, I often went to dim sum with my family on weekends and wanted to write about those fun and yummy memories. As an adult, dim sum is still one of my favorite weekend meals to eat. I personally love the rice noodles and chicken feet haha.”

“We wrote this song a while back, but didn’t get around to finishing it until recently. We were definitely channeling The Velvet Underground at the time, with more sugary vibes. My favorite line in the song is at the very end – “Dim sum, ohh dim sum, ohh dim sum, ohhhhh yum… yum.”
