Leeds’ Ruby Duff releases Where Do Odd Socks Go?, a remarkable collection of lavish pop and cinematic soundscapes.

In Duff’s own words:

“Just like your odd socks, this collection of songs are unique and a bit mismatched. Each song is a strong, individual piece, yet together they form a vibrant and eclectic mix – much like socks on a washing line”

Opener ‘Undressed’ is a grand cinematic pop track which would fit on the opening titles of the next Bond film. Its about the empowerment that comes with metaphorically shedding a mask and releasing introversion.

‘IDOL’ is a gorgeously squelchy electropop tune with infectious energy and swagger reminiscent of Macklemore’s ‘Thrift Shop’. It showcases Ruby’s empowering and fearless artistry and features Fifth Harmony and JoJo’s songwriter Linnea Deb.

Glitterball is a tender ballroom ballad which builds to some impressive vocal acrobatics.

The EP ends with stand out track ‘Waves’ a genuinely  uplifting multi layered ballad ending with some lovely group vocals. Written with her Dad fourteen years ago, its a heartwarming song about family and friendship.

All the tracks on Where do Odd Socks Go? are impressively put together. Mixing the sounds of Katy J Pearson, Kate Bush and St.Vincent.

Ruby will be supporting The Hoosiers on their tour in March.
