Hailing from Northern California, indie-pop-rock five-piece Rainbow City Park has released a ruminative healing elixir of an album on their debut, Fruitless.

Title rack ‘Fruitless’ sets the gritty resonance that permeates the album. With sick-and-tired vibes, this song affirms the pain of rejection head-on. Reverberating guitar echoes infuse the track with a rock-tinged shoegaze feel that makes ‘Fruitless’ a perfect fit for those in search of a heavier, more seasoned Paramore sound.

‘Provincial’ is the song for when you’re right at the crest of the inky depths, but not escaping it just yet. Craggy and genuine, this track is biting but carries a raw hope for something new. Energetic percussion and catchy guitar make ‘Provincial’ easy to throw on repeat.

Track four, ‘Foresight,’ is another wound-bearing song for Fruitless that rebuilds healing from the ground up. The most experimental song on the album, this song impressively genre-bends and shows true musical mastery for Rainbow City Park. Cleansing as well as piercing, ‘Foresight’ is a comfort for darker times.

Rainbow City Park’s Fruitless is a hardy yet heartfelt album that spotlights authentic, messy healing, and lush melodies. Make sure to check out the new album and live show dates below.
