Rhona Stevens is a singer songwriter from Glasgow. Intertwining all of her musical expertise into one, Rhona marries slick melodies with quirky riffs and magnetic vocals. ‘Lay It Down’ is her second single of 2021. It has a slow cool intro with haunting vocals (remimisceint of The Unthanks) before kicking into the more upbeat, jaunty second part of the track. A song with chapters and story! Rhona tags her music as nu jazz, jazztronica, indie pop (what a fusion!) and explains:

Lay It Down is a fiery song about internal and external conflict. This song bears more personal meaning and the twists and turns in the song’s development and structure lend itself to the heavy metaphors present throughout.

‘Lay It Down; is out now and will add bounce to your Easter weekend.
