Stereo Club: Parma Violet Gin

There’s much to love about Stereo Club’s new single ‘Parma Violet Gin’. Upbeat indiepop which reminds us of The Go-Betweens with a smidge of Voice of the Beehive. A lush video at the awesome Barry Island. And a name that informs us that Parma Violet Gin is actually a thing – added to my shopping list toot-sweet.

The band are Ines Duarte (vocals, guitar, keys), Dan Waggon (bass, keys) and Ben Morris (drums, percussion) and they’re from Cardiff. Talking about the single, the band says,

“it’s based around a group of kids fantasising about achieving their dreams. The song takes the listener on a journey with the characters; from growing up in the suburbs of their hometown, to performing on the world’s biggest stages and drinking colourful cocktails.”
